Number one

My room looks an absolute disaster right now.
Work clothes from the beginning of the week piled on my desk chair, mail and print outs stored/scattered between various objects on my desk, half-read books, books which I've been meaning to read since 2006, untouched forms, neglected diary, food wrappers, full trashcan... list goes on.

I need to be more organised + less lazy..

.. and that's my first new year's resolution for 2010. (Wow hard to believe another year almost gone)

Saturday morning

My laptop's wireless Internet connection has been down for a few days, and I have therefore resorted to the saviour that is my iPhone to check my email and facebook. Although I do love surfing the web on my iPhone, I do miss the wider screen web experience from my laptop.. (my fingers still feel way too big and clumsy on this touchpad and you have no idea how many times I have to re-spell words as I am typing this on the iPhone ...)
Being laptop deprived (laptop Internet deprived rather) has also made me realise my unhealthy dependency on the Internet..and the fact I am actually dedicating an entire blog post on the matter, well that is definitely saying something.

'Useful' information aside, I am very much looking forward to some Metro city action tonight!
Although the peak of my M-city days are long gone, (I am embarassed that I even had a so-called peak) that place will always be responsible for some of the fondest uni-day memories. It will be... nice to pretend I am still in uni and be able to re-live the metro city greatness after so long!

Just received smses from two friends regarding tonight's action. Based on what they're saying, m city wins for tonight!

I wasn't sleeping!

I was walking along with two other people after watching a movie last night. We were agreeing on the fact it was a cool movie and talked about other general movie-related chitchat.
Anyway, when I said I really enjoyed this movie, they found this to be quite amusing. They remarked "we saw you sleeping!"
I was quite taken aback by this, for two reasons.
Firstly, as a result of watching the legend that is Michael Jackson prepare for what would have been arguably one of/the most amazing concert in musical history, I felt completely in awe of his creative talent and saddened that he did not get to show his fans the brilliance that he was preparing for. Now, to therefore be told that I actually 'slept' as the MJ fan in me awakened during the movie, I of course felt I had to defend myself to prove my fan worthiness.
Secondly, I was taken aback because they were half-right.

I was tired :( but I was still listening to MJ beneath my eyelids orright?

It's multitasking.

Cinema Aftermath (Haiku)
